Recycled wood from Indonesian boats
Due to its high quality and strength, teak wood has traditionally been used to build fishing boats on the island of Java in Indonesia. The locals would apply several coats of paint to increase the boats lifespan, while creating multi-coloured vessels. Once no longer used, the boats were recycled as construction timber. Today, this material has been given a new life by creating this original vintage wooden letters.
The wood is reclaimed but at the same time its integrity is maintained. So in that sense, each letter is unique, both in colour and texture. Depending on the pieces, knots, small holes and even the wooden nails used to fix the boards can be seen. As it is high quality recycled wood, the letters are suitable for both interior and exterior spaces.

The colours in the images are approximate, as no two models of letters are the same. Each piece is unique, made with the wood planks available at the time.
