Original board games
At Fantastik we have a collection of very original and fun board games. Many are based on classic board games such as Monopoly, Backgammon or Parcheesi, but adapted to the local cultures of Mexico.
But the one that takes the cake in terms of popularity is the Mexican game La Lotería. It is a very common activity to be found at family gatherings, festivals and fairs.
Mexican Lottery Game
Very similar to bingo, it is played with a deck of 54 cards illustrated with figures from Mexican culture and folklore, such as "El Gallo", "La Luna", "La Calavera" and "La Sirena".
Instead of simply saying the numbers, the "shouter" sings a riddle about the figure on the card. The winner is the player who has marked the most images on his or her board.
