From the beginning of the 20th century until the early 1960s, the global production of tinplate toys experienced its golden age. The metal toys, with or without wind-up mechanisms, shaped the childhood of several generations of children.
The main manufacturing countries were Germany, the United States and Japan. Today, China has taken over this role, albeit from a very nostalgic point of view.
Rather than creating new products, the global tin toy market is trying to evoke the past by reviving the classic toys of the 1940s, 50s and 60s. That's why most of these "new" toys are targeted at collectors.
In our toy collection, you will find magic spinning tops, flying saucers, noise-making animals and more. But the jewel in the crown is undoubtedly the various models of tin robots, the fruit of Japanese creativity and meticulous craftsmanship.
