Guadalupe postcard

1,00

The Virgin of Guadalupe is considered the patron saint of Mexico and ‘Empress of America’. According to Catholic tradition, she appeared to the native Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill in 1531 and today she is a symbol of national unity and identity for Mexicans. Since colonial times, it has been a bridge between indigenous traditions and Christianity, integrating pre-Hispanic cultural elements.

This postcard depicts the classic image of the Guadalupana, with the blue mantle and the rays behind it evoking divine light.
