Indian clay idols
8,00€
The use of such small ceramic idols of gods is an important part of Hindu religious practice and is deeply rooted in Indian culture and customs.
They are usually sold at railway stations and other transit points, especially before and after the celebration of religious festivals.
The tradition of making clay idols is associated with the Kumhar caste who have been making clay idols for over 300 years, although today their work is endangered by the massive importation of industrially made resin idols from China.
