The Chinese lantern is one of the symbols of the Asian country. The use of paper lanterns in China dates back to 1800 years ago which makes them a basic element in their culture. Nowadays they are mostly used in festivals and celebrations, being the Chinese New Year and the lantern festival the most known.
This paper lantern model is inspired by Peking opera masks and is intended for indoor use only. It is made of paper and it contains a metal piece to expand it and form its round shape.
If you decide to use it as a lamp, remember to use a bulb of maximum 40 watts and be sure that there is no contact between the paper and the bulb.
