These shrine boxes with skull characters are called nichos in Mexico, and they are a good example of sense of humor regarding death in this country.

This typical day of the dead craft has evolved over time and now they no longer depict only catrinas and mariachis but also more fun themes such as professions.

Each piece is handcrafted so there may be small color / format variations. The current dentist box model is female.
