Gourd rattle

Maracas made from sun-dried gourds are one of the easiest instruments to make. That is why they are so common in many cultures.

This gourd rattle is original from the state of Guerrero and contains the seeds of the fruit itself inside, which gives it a very particular musicality.

Each piece is lacquered and painted by hand. So in addition to being a musical instrument it is a precious decorative object.
