Frida ceramic skull

This ceramic skull is inspired by one of Frida Kahlo’s most iconic images, depicting her with her characteristic unibrow and typical Tehuana headdress.

Frida wore these types of floral headbands and elaborate hairstyles as a sign of her love for Mexican culture, as well as to symbolise female empowerment and pride in her indigenous roots.

Each piece is made from fired clay with a glossy glaze finish and is hand painted. As each piece is handcrafted, the colour combination is assorted and each piece is unique.
