Aluminum tumbler

This aluminum cup with engraved details is typical from the North of India. In general, the use of aluminum tableware is widespread throughout the country, although it is especially popular among the Muslim population. They are generally sold in the whereabouts of the mosques.

Aluminum is an abundant and inexpensive material, and it is also more malleable than steel or copper, so it’s the perfect material to create these delicate filigree engravings that the Indians like so much. These glasses, due to their size, are commonly used to serve water or juice after attending religious services.

As this is a painted product and it is not approved under EU standards, we refrain from recommending it for culinary purposes. Not dishwasher safe.
