Reclaimed wood from Indonesian boats
On the island of Java in Indonesia, locals have traditionally used teak wood to build fishing boats, due to the high quality and strength of this material. To further increase its durability, they applied several layers of paint, creating multi-coloured boats. Once no longer in use, the boats were recycled as construction timber. Today, this material has been given a new life with the production of this vintage wooden alphabet.
The wood is recycled but at the same time its integrity is maintained. So in that sense, each letter is unique, both in colour and texture. Depending on the pieces, you will be able to see knots, holes and small imperfections. As it is high quality recycled wood, it is suitable for both interior and exterior spaces.
