Pendants of Indian culture

Most of the items in this section come from India, specifically Rajasthan. In this region, hanging these decorative strips on the doors or entrances of houses is a traditional practice that has been passed down through generations and is still widely followed today.

These hangings are known as ‘toran’ and are hung on the door to welcome guests and mark the entrance of the house. As well as being decorative, they are believed to bring good luck and prosperity to the home.

In addition to Indian pendants, another popular product is Koinobori, the famous Japanese carp-shaped banners.
