There is no doubt that 2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone and it will be a year we will all remember forever. For small business in general it has been a year of much uncertainty and many challenges. At Fantastik, when we look back on the year that has just ended, the word that comes to mind is THANK YOU. Because despite all the difficulties, we are still going strong, and in large part thanks to you, our customers and friends.
Trips and celebrations that never happened
We started 2020 as usual, preparing the trip we regularly take in March or April. This year it was time to go to our beloved Mexico and we were very close to buying the tickets… Besides this big trip, other items on the list of “goals we couldn’t achieve”: the Day of the Dead celebration and a big 15th birthday party for the store, as we commented in this blog post. But for this last point, we hope we can make it happen as soon as we can!
New products and new content
On the other hand, we were able to finalize some ideas we had for the year. For example, making available in the online store a large part of the material from India that we received in the end of 2019. Among the new arrivals, the typical aluminum kitchenware that you see in popular restaurants and street stalls in Delhi or Mumbai. Or the figurines of Hindu gods such as Ganesha or Lakshmi.

We also created an Instagram filter with the fun paper masks you can buy at Fantastik. So you can instantly transform yourself into Marylin or Elvis – check it out! Another new feature is that we added Bizum as a payment method for online purchases.
And to wrap up the year, in December we had the update of the store on Google Street View. For those who can’t come to the physical store, you can take a virtual tour – it’s almost like being physically inside the space!
